Class Description
Sound Medicine includes learningto use sound as a healing tool in our lives for greater wellness. We will explore a variety of therapeutic and FUN sound techniques to practice on our own, with others, and also to incorporate with different healing modalities. This class is a great opportunity to develop an experiential foundation in sound healingpractices to assist in achieving greater health in body, mind, and spirit. Come enjoy and treat yourself to the many health benefits of sound therapy and musical expression!
Our practice of sound medicine techniques will include:
Expressing with rhythm, entrainment techniques, vocal toning
meditation, vocal exploration, therapeutic music improvisation, deep
listening skills, exploring sound healing instruments, and much more!

Bio- Christy Clavio is a teaching artist and professional musician in Asheville, NC. She is licensed and Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and has been practicing healing arts professionally since 1997. Christy has facilitated Music Improvisation, Vocal Exploration, Toning, and Sounding Healing groups for over 15 years with diverse populations. She is a graduate of Music for People’s Musician/Leadership program and a facilitator for Toning for Peace. Christy presents innovative multi-cultural music programs that celebrate our diversity through an exploration of culture, music, healing, and self-expression.
