Chronic Pain

Pain affects more than 25% of the US population. (NCHS 2011) There is acute pain that follows a trauma, injury or surgery. There is also chronic pain that is a result from systemic inflammation or disorders of the nervous system.

Normal inflammation is the immune system at work to repair damaged tissue or clear out toxic debris. Chronic inflammation is an immune system in overdrive. Chronic Inflammation is the body in constant stress and reaction to irritants. Integrative Practitioners and current research point to Food Sensitivities, Blood PH Balance, High Insulin Levels, Heavy Metal Exposure, Parasites, Environmental Toxins, Hormonal Imbalance, Lack of Vitamins, Minerals and Amino Acids or Psychological and Emotional Stress to be causative factors of Chronic Inflammation.
